This is Frisbee!

Oh My Gosh...do we love Frisbee!

He (just like all of our boarders) enjoyed being played with, talked to, carried around and loved by all of us! He is 100% adorable when he is running through the grass. He is so spunky!

We can't wait to see him again! We miss him already.

         He is such a handsome

little boy! He loves everyone, loves his toys, sitting in the grass and getting a bath:) not really on the bath part, but he is good at begging to get out...

See you again soon! We love you Buddy.

Litter mates meet again after 2 years!

written by: Gwen Crandall (Animal Care Manager)

In February of 2007 I fostered a litter of 4 puppies for the Humane Society of Montgomery County. I called them Tiny Tot, Funny Face, Roly Poly, and Odd ball(being the only one that was black and white out of the litter)

I loved and took care of them for 2 months before returning them to the HSMC to be adopted, never thinking I would be so lucky to see them again. Luckily...I was. I was at a store shopping and turned the corner to see Tiny Tot (now named Sparkle)! I could not help myself....I called her name and started crying. While I was talking with Sparkle's family, they decided to start bringing Sparkle to Best Friends so that I would be able to see her grow up, and continue to be a part of her life. Sparkle has been coming to Best Friends since.

Here recently, another wonderful thing has happened! One of our Clients was here checking in his two friends for boarding. While I was getting him checked in, I told the owner how much his dog Ocho looked like a dog I had fostered name Sparkle. I picked up his file and started looking through it and realized that Ocho is Roly Poly (Sparkles brother)!! I really believed he remembered me. He jumped all over me:) On top of it all -Ocho was here boarding on the same day that Sparkle was getting a bath!

I wish I knew where my Funny Face and Odd Ball are...I hope they are as happy and healthy as Sparkle and Ocho are!

Below are pictures of Sparkle and Ocho's first meeting after being separated for almost 2 years!
